Headed to Baton Rouge today for a dance competition. While we are over that way, we are going down the river (Mississippi River) to visit some dear family friends. They have graciously allowed us the use of their camp since my in-law's camp blew away in Katrina. I'm sure we will go by the spot of the old camp. Big Daddy and his sisters spent every summer and Thanksgiving in that place, learning how to fish, hunt, and survive.
If you have no idea about this way of life, you should check out our new favorite show, Swamp People. Since it is a tv show, some of the people are a little extreme, but there are a few that are genuine. This is one of my favorites.
Off to buy my Chalmette Reeboks and pack my bags!
