- Get back to regular blogging.
- Get control of my American Express bill.
- Finish my extensive home improvement to-do list:
Paint my closet. (This rolls forward from 2009, but I'm not giving up on it.)
Paint the dining room and get curtains.
Decorate my bedroom.
Get the attic replumbed.
Reinsulate the attic.
Paint the tv room.
Upholster the back of the shelves in the office.
Have a BIG, FAT yard sale.
If Big Daddy gets a bonus, replace the carpet upstairs. - Entertain in our home more often.
- Do a better job at all of my volunteering - at school and at church.
- Make homemade bread on a regular basis (once per quarter, maybe?)
My Thankful List:
- We are blessed to have wonderful doctors to take care of my mother-in-law when she fell on my stairs and broke her ankle on Dec 23rd.
- We are blessed that we were home when the plumbing in the attic leaked on the morning of Dec 23rd, and that Big Daddy and the HIE had the skills to fix it.
- We are blessed that the big storm on the night of Dec 23rd was short so that the leak in the roof it caused didn't last long.
- I am thankful that Dec 23rd only comes once per year.
My New Year's Day Advice:
Eat your blackeyed peas for health and cabbage for wealth today. Enjoy the great college football this week. Count all your blessings. Hug your kids, spouse and parents as often as you can. Call your friends. Say your prayers.
