We're up and the sun is shining. The wind has started to blow here at the house. Big Daddy is getting the generator ready. The kids are swimming. We are deciding how to shelter the cars.
Here is a link to a webcam at the Commodore hotel in Galveston. It's a view of the seawall at 37th. Mama's house is at 35th, so this will give us a good idea of how much water is coming over the seawall. The bad news is that it looks like the storm will come in at high tide. They are predicting the entire island will flood.
