Big Daddy loves to hunt. It's in his blood. He loves the thrill of it. The sport of it. The opportunity to commune with nature. To see all that God has made. All that He has provided for us.
This is also a bittersweet time for him. He grew up hunting in South Louisiana with his dad and entire family. His father passed away a few years ago, then Hurricane Katrina took the camp. Since we moved to big state, he has adjusted to prairie hunting while mourning the passbank hunting he learned growing up. As a young man, he always knew that the camp was a special place and that he hunted every year in a way most sportsmen only dream of hunting. He never took it for granted - the hunting, the camp, or his dad.
The video below was taken in November 2003. It is TePaw (Big Daddy's dad) and Skibbie heading out for the evening hunt on the Party Barge - a seriously luxurious way to hunt. I am so grateful that my peeps knew TePaw and remember him.
As opening day approaches, here's hoping you get a clean double TePaw. We miss you.

HI,
The movie is not working.... :-(
says it's not loaded....I would love to see it....
It loads for me. Network blocking it possibly?
I finally was able to view on my home computer.....so awesome to see that again. filled me up with tears. This time of year is the hardest; case in point in the video as none of that exist anymore...it's all been condensed down to photos, videos and our own memories left in our heart & head.
thank you for putting it on. :-)
