It's been a busy few days. The boys made it back from the scout campout with stories of mutant raccoons who open coolers and tents, and a backwoods rave that kept them up half the night.

After unpacking and getting campfire-smoke filled clothes in the washer, I actually cooked supper. Fried pork chops, rice and gravy and little green peas. For dessert / birthday cake, we had brownies. Then Big Daddy opened his presents.

Big Daddy loves to bring the peeps into the present opening activity. I don't let them actually open the presents (they are too old for that) but he loves to make them guess (read reveal) what is in each package. Sometimes they play along, sometimes they are tricked into telling and sometimes they just get frustrated with the game and want him to open the gift.

Big Daddy decided that one gift in particular looked like it could be just the right size to hold a Wii. He saved it for last, just to torture the peeps, especially Action. Before Big Daddy opened each gift, he would say, "Maybe it's the controller for the Wii", or "Maybe it's a game for the Wii". Action has never paid so much attention to the opening of the gifts. (In case you're not sure, Action desperately wants a Wii - or any video game kind of thing.)

As Big Daddy opened the last gift, everyone was filled with anticipation. First, the card. (Notice the box cutter in Action's hand, ready to assist.)

Then the reveal......

LOOK! An Armani briefcase from Mr. and Mrs. Cutillowitz! WE ARE HOOKED UP!

Doesn't the look on Skibbie's face say it all??!! Big Daddy's remark at the end was "Wow! That was a great birthday. I just loved my gifts!"

Action's bland retort: "Yeah, especially the Wii."
